Flash or not ? [Nokia 8800 - 121008]

Hi to all, after a search, i need an aswer. I have a 8800 fimr ver : 03.78. Did i have to flash it ? if yes how ? I read i can make it myself but how and where ? Thanks in adavnce foor your answer. Yann

I believe your current firmware is not the newest. Mine is 03.94 If all is ok with your handset then no you dont unless the new firmware introduces an enhancement to the handset. To have it flashed you will have to visit a Nokia Repair Service Centre or approved one such as Carfone Warehouse. On Nokia's website they have introduced a software update do it yourself option, although the 8800 is not currently available. I am waiting for a firmware to stop the lcd burn issue that affects the 8800. On powerr saver option {clock} it does not scroll down the screen, causing a stripe to be burnt into the screen after a while. Be happy !!
