Phone Locked when turned on [Sony Ericsson W550i Walkman Phone - 126875]

I recently recieved a used sony ericsson w550 fone from a friend, but it's locked when I turned it on..it prompts for a number code that's at least 4 characters, and since I can't contact the person, I can't access the fone. Is there some kind of master code that will work, and allow me to access it? Any recommendations will help

Funny thing is, I found the person who owned the phone, and she let me have it xD. But she doesn't remember the passcode, so she's gonna look for the box to try and see if they'll count it as proof of purchase, hehe ^^;
